Dear Colleagues,
The Community and Social
Psychology Division of PsySSA invites you to participate in a symposium on
community engagement initiatives at the PsySSA Congress that will take place
from 15 to 18 September 2015 at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg. We know that there are
many noteworthy community engagement projects in various parts and regions of
the country, managed by psychologists and psychology practitioners. We also
know that many psychologists who primarily identify with other Divisions of
PsySSA also engage in very important community work. In an attempt to draw on
and share some of the abundance of this important work, we would like to invite
you to present a paper on your project or a paper raising debates about
"community" and community engagement in psychology to be included in
the symposium.
Should you be interested to participate in the symposium, please
send a title of your presentation, with an abstract of 250 words and a list of
keywords to the coordinator of the symposium, Prof Ronelle Carolissen, at rlc2@sun.ac.za.
The abstract submission closes in two days’ time, so your speedy response will
be appreciated!
