Discussion
Need to identify the aim / purpose of the division.
Ideal networking opportunity – to identify research related to communities / practitioners (registered counsellors and psychologists) could be encouraged to work in communities (for CPD points) / Work in communities could be communicated to others through the network / be visible in communities /
Could organise a community and social psychology symposium at ICP2012 to show core theoretical and practical issues around community and social psychology.
Could organise regional and online seminars.
Create an online communication space to share ideas / information about upcoming events and conferences / new publications / to track the history of local publications and conference presentations / to hear how different universities define community psychology and approach the teaching of community and social psychology.
